Description:
Heavily built blue water cruiser with low-hour diesel engine. Needs some cosmetic work, but is perfect for someone interested in serious ocean cruising.

My dad recently passed away, leaving his Creekmore 46' sailboat. She was built to be the family round-the-world boat after my parents came home from their transatlantic and decided they needed to upgrade, but divorce stopped that dream from happening. Instead, she became the boat I lived on growing up and sailed to Maine most summers. Unfortunately, I just don't have the space in my life to keep her. Live-aboard slip paid through the end of October. Priced to sell quickly.

My dad was living on this boat when his health began to decline, so she needs some sprucing, but her essential systems are sound. Hull, deck, mast, and rigging are all solid; engine runs great; there's a sheared pin in the rudder that's an easy fix, but the boat needs to be hauled to replace it; spreaders should probably be replaced; water tanks need a good flushing; anchor windlass has always been a little funky; otherwise, she just needs some cosmetic work.

Great blue water cruiser for someone looking for a deal and willing to put in some work to get her back into cruising shape.

Note: all of the photos are current except: the photos of her at anchor come from past cruising trips, and the photos of her on the hard are from the building process (the child in the photos is me)

I have plenty more photos for anyone interested. The details in this listing, such as exact beam and draft measurements, come from my memories of Dad explaining things growing up and later as an adult. Since Creekmore hulls are all semi-custom and unique, there may be some minor variations. Everything in this listing is made in good faith. Sold as is, where is.

$22,500 OBO. Currently located on the Sassafras River in Maryland.

Equipment:
Hull: 46' fiberglass Creekmore hull with a 13' beam and 6' draft, built by my Dad from 1988 until she was launched in 1996. She has a cut-away full keel with a steel shoe and is ballasted with lead.

Rig/Sails: Cutter rig with a keel-stepped mast, double spreaders, and hank on sails (no roller-furling). The mainsail is on, and there are five sails in bags down below. The last I remember, he had a yankee, staysail, genoa, and spinnaker; Im not sure whats in the fifth sailbag - could be a sea anchor.

Engine: Vetus 42hp diesel (M417 A123A) installed new in 2004, currently with only 289 hours on it.

Heat: Two Dickinson diesel heaters: the main cabin has an Antarctic model which always kept the boat toasty even on cold winters in the Delaware Bay / Chesapeake area or on pea-soup fog days up in Maine; the aft cabin has a Newport model which was installed much later but always added a nice ambience to the aft cabin.

Layout (from bow to stern): anchor locker accessible from below; forward cabin with v-birth (sleeps 2); head with C-head composting toilet, sink, and shower; main cabin with two settees (sleeps 2), a dinette to port and galley to starboard (sink, gimballed stove with oven, ice box for cruising, microwave and refrigerator for when on shore power), moving aft from the dinette is the electric room; engine in engine box beneath companionway steps; aft cabin opens from the galley and is partially finished with a bunk (sleeps 2 very comfortably) and desk with chair; large lazarette accessible from deck.
