The 1D 35 TURBO is a model of racing practicality. Designed by Nelson-Marek and built by Carroll Marine with the simple purpose of speed and ease of handling. It took what dinghy sailors love the most about small boats and incorporated it into a fast, powerful and seaworthy big boat that can surf past larger yachts at 22kts and then be pulled out of the water with a 4 tonne crane and hauled home on its trailer with a pickup truck.

Climax has been constantly updated by its knowledgeable owner (sailmaker) who has campaigned it for the last 18 years winning events at all levels and is a 2 time Prince of Whales winner, 4 time Convoy Cup winner and 4 time Chester Race Week Winner. It also had an amazing 36 hr run to Halifax in the Marleblehead race and was 3rd overall.

This turn key 35 is ready for the water and its next podium finish. It has an extensive sail inventory of race ready sails and has a custom bow sprit for A symmetrical set up and also the conventional Symmetrical Spinnakers to maximize performance based on course configuration.
