Maquinna is a 1969 Columbia 36 designed by the legendary William Crealock. She has had only three owners since new and has been exceptionally well cared for throughout her life. When we bought her in 2021, she was primarily a coastal cruiser. Since then, she has been extensively upgraded and maintained for offshore cruising and has successfully sailed from Vancouver to the Caribbean, completing multiple offshore passages along the way.
Maquinna's enduring and well regarded Crealock design strikes a great balance between offshore capability and manageability. Her autopilot, tiller steering, self-tailing winches and lines led aft have made her particularly practical for short-handed cruising. She is in excellent condition for her age and has been continuously maintained and improved by owners who have clearly cared for her.
We had originally planned to continue sailing her to Canada's East Coast, but plans have changed, so Maquinna is now looking for her next adventure. She is currently in the water at Shelter Bay Marina just outside of the Panama Canal, a fabulous stepping off point to almost any sailing in the world and close to the beautiful San Blas Islands. She is available for viewing and delivery may be possible depending on location. Whatsapp 7786772400 for questions and inquiries |
