Description: |
The classic Yankee 50 originally designed for Irving Johnson. Most of the boat is isolated against cold and has 2 heaters on board. The Previous owner lived several years on it during winter in Stockholm. The hull was revised and repainted in 2021. The engine was just checked in September 2026 and a new Turbo installed. It's a Volvo Penta Tamd30a 108hp.
The Bow Spirit Grating is new from September 2026, teak.
The frames of the hatches are teak and newly made in March 2026.
The steering is hydraulic, but there is no autopilot installed.
In general the boat is in good condition. But the hull needs to be rechecked and on deck some rusty spots should be fixed. I've started redoing the electrical system, but didn't manage to finish. Probably you'd also want to replace the batteries with lithium ones and get more solar panels.
We sell her since we just decided to start building a house and for the foreseeable future don't have time and money for a boat which is over 30 hours away. |
