31' Corsair F31-R

Amazing Corsair F-31R.

This rare aft-cockpit version is particularly well suited to racing.

It has a rotating Omohundro carbon mast.

Its top speed is approximately 25 knots. Speeds of 20 knots are readily achievable under main and jib alone, and it is unusual not to reach 15 knots on a day sail. PHRF rating: −30.

Hull No. 72 was the first Corsair F-31R built. It was delivered with a minimalist interior and is roughly as fast as a Corsair F-31 1D.

Accommodation
The aft-cockpit layout provides sleeping space for four to five people. The forward V-berth is spacious and comfortable for a couple. The saloon settees convert into a large double berth, and a removable berth in the saloon is suitable for a child or for an adult sleeping while underway. There is ample storage behind and beneath the settees.
The toilet compartment is to port of the centerboard trunk in a custom-built arrangement. A lightweight composite half-bulkhead and curtain provide privacy. It contains a cabinet and sink that drains directly overboard, plus a Porta Potti. There is no built-in galley; cooking is done on a portable propane stove.
