Description: |
This is a type of Beachcomber Dory extremely popular in early 1900s. It was designed by William Chamberlain in 1903, for the Beachcomber Club of Marblehead, MA. This has the original type of triangular sails, a Leg-o-mutton rig. This is a wooden boat with epoxied and glassed bottom. It is in excellent condition and sails well. The boat has spent its existence out of the water when not being sailed, and under a cover, as far as I can tell. I have found this model on line in later model years ranging from 14,000 to 20,000. |
