42' Solaris Solaris 42

The S/V Aeolus is a Solaris 42 cruising Catamaran. She was built in England by Solaris in 1975 and is an ocean going ketch rigged catamaran. She was completely updated in 2011 and is currently the main vessel in a charter business on Roatan Island, Honduras. (Business also for sale).

AEOLUS welcomes visitors with warm, rich woodwork throughout the large salon. Two facing L-shaped settees form an almost continuous horseshoe-shaped conversation and entertainment area, while a fixed dinette table folds out for meals. Surrounding the salon are built-in book shelves, a glass rack, and sliding bulkhead panels that open the salon to the forward cabins in either hull. Access to the forward starboard cabin is through the galley.

A double berth is paired with a mirrored vanity and seat. This arrangement is duplicated in the port hull forward through the port head, with both cabins affording their occupants abundant storage. The third cabin is in the port hull aft, through a passageway with additional storage, as well as a bulkhead-mounted ladder and overhead hatchway to the deck. Counterspace, always at a premium on most boats, is abundant on AEOLUS. A long galley to starboard offers more than adequate room for food preparation, and is combined with a virtual wall of storage cabinets and drawers facing the salon.
