Manga Rosa is an ocean cruiser. She is light and fast yet at the same time safe and com-fortable.
Fully equipped and with a robust build, Manga Rosa is designed for sailing
and performs well even with light winds or windward sailing. This is due to a sleek de-sign affording excellent aerodynamics.
Manga Rosa is easy to sail single handed. All controls are cockpit based and
winches etc are electric.
The living space and internal furnishings are built to a high standard with exceptional use of space.
With Manga Rosa being only one of two St Francis 44s built in partnership with High Tech Yachts, the superior finish and extras found on this model cannot be found on other St Francis 44s.
Manga Rosa was designed by the renowned Angelo Lavranos and built in St Francis Marine -a yard specialising in building circumnavigation catamarans.
It is estimated that more St Francis catamarans have sailed around the world than any other.
The St Francis 44 Mark II was awarded the title ‘Boat of the Year’ by Cruising World magazine.
One St Francis 44 MkII on its maiden voyage joined the Cape2Rio race and won in the ca-tamaran category, competing against 50ft vessels.
Originally named Utopia, Manga Rosa was one of two catamarans ordered by the owners of a tyre factory in Cape Town. The order came with specific requirements relating to high quality fur-nishings and comfort and both boats were built in partnership with High Tech Yachts.
