Description:
A development of the successful and proven Controversy 36, this yawl is designed for fast, safe, and comfortable ocean passages as well as exhilarating coastwise cruising. Ruggedly built by the glue / strip method, her light displacement makes her a very easy boat to handle. She will have a long life of reliable and satisfying service.

Specifications:

Bronze fastenings and resorcinol glue.

Backbone: Laminated oak

Lead ballast

Planking: 1 1/16" x 1 1/16" mahogany strips, glued and edge nailed.

Deck: 5/8" Plywood, Dynel- covered on oak and spruce framing.

Steering Gear: Edson Super Simplex with Destroyer Wheel

Rigging: Alluminum Masts, and spruce booms. Merriman bronze fittings and stainless steel standing rigging.

Sail Area: 693 square feet.
