Located in Key West Florida. I purchased this boat 18 months ago in very good and seaworthy shape. Due to damage from hurricane Irma I would now classify this as a project boat. I am pricing her to make it well worth the buyers time to get this back sailing! This is a excellent deal for someone that wants to put a little work into her. She is currently floating with a dry bilge!
The interior is in great shape. All of the pictures I have taken since posting this ad.
The damage consists of paint, gel coat, and fiberglass damage to both sides of the hull. One chain plate is broken. The rub rail on both sides of the hull. The boat is due for a bottom painting as well. I cleaned the bottom and replaced the zinc most recently 3 months ago. The engine is currently not running. The engine was running when I last sailed her over 8 months ago. I believe it is in running condition, however I do not have time to put into it. It is the original volvo penta 12.5hp.
The previous owner put a lot of money and time into her, and it shows.
The Hydrovane was purchased new by the last owner.
The tan-bark sails are in great condition. The hull below the waterline is in great condition; I dove on her since the hurricane, and would welcome you or your surveyor to do the same.
Zella Belle is a very capable blue water cruiser. Built for ocean crossings. Excellent boat for single-handing (all running rigging goes to cockpit) or two persons. Sleeps 4.
Feel free to call or email for more details. I welcome any survey.
You can see what Zella Belle looked like 18 months ago, her listing from when I bought her is still up:
