24.7' Bristol Corsair

I acquired this boat over the winter of 2015/6. I have put some work into it, but it could definitely use more. I am selling because I don't have time to sail it, but it does sail, in spite of its age!

The cabin has plenty of space - I was actually living on the boat with my boyfriend for the past two summers. It has a built-in ice box, sink with a hand pump to pump fresh water from a holding tank that you can refill in the V berth, a table that can be lowered to make a bed, and another small space that a child could probably sleep in (my dad had nearly the same boat when I was growing up, and I remember sleeping in that spot during weekend trips). My boyfriend and I usually squeeze onto the bed that is made by the table and surroinding benchs, but you could also fit two people in the V berth. There are cushions for all of the wooden surfaces on the interior, but they are not very comfortable so we put a memory foam mattress topper on top for sleeping.

Work I have done to it includes several fresh coats of bottom paint, patching some holes in the fiberglass hull, replacing the wooden floor, and repairing and replacing rotted balsa core in the bulkhead and deck, where the chainplate attaches on the port side. The tiller broke last summer, and I have some nice white oak that I was planning to use to build a new tiller. So, if I get to that before someone buys it, it will have a new tiller!

Roller furling jib in great condition, but the main sail has some holes and is very saggy. Outboard engine with electric starter (runs off of 12 volt battery that is included below the steps into the cabin). Radio that also runs off of this battery. There are interior lights, but the electrical wiring is corroded and they have stopped working over the years. I may get to fixing them this year though. I am traveling in Colombia until the spring, so I don't have too many photos with me to show details. I will update if possible when I return home.
