yachtworld.com/boats/1976/Chassiron-Tour-du-Monde-45-3230560This gorgeous Chassiron 45 is a large classic ketch offering a beautiful richly appointed interior that is ideal for comfortable passage making. Her deep hull provides plenty of storage for fuel, water and supplies. Her interior is classic vintage with a layout that provides complete privacy in both the forward and aft cabin. There are numerous storage cabinets, cubbies, and lockers and the overall layout makes her perfect for a live-aboard. This vessel has taken her owners up and down the eastern seaboard where they enjoyed exploring the coasts of Maine, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland, as well as Bras Dor Lake and the French islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon. With a keel that runs almost the full length of the vessel, this boat is made for blue water cruising and offshore passages. It balances beautifully and sails smoothly. With the abundance of room below, carrying up to 6 crew members is feasible, however this yacht is easily handled by just two people even on long passages.
The joinery and finish are teak with satin varnish. The forward cabin offers a comfortable starboard side double berth, hanging locker and multiple storage shelves and cubbies. The head is located just aft to starboard and theres a separate bulkhead door that may be closed off to the main salon for added privacy. This essentially provides privacy for three separate cabins. A single settee is aft to port with a U-shaped dinette opposite to starboard. If needed, the settee can be expanded and cushions arranged to create a snug bunk for two, complete with lee cloth.
