Description: |
Epiphany is a capable, proven offshore yacht, with nearly 2000 miles of ocean voyaging logged, including two round trip passages Virginia to Bermuda. The boat has accommodated 5 persons on these trips, with the Monitor windvane handling most of the steering chores. The Gulf Stream crossings have provided moderately heavy weather and proven Ted Brewer's skill at designing sea-kindly boats. Epiphany is the owner/builder's third cruising boat. She is strongly constructed of Atlantic White Cedar, triple planked using West System epoxy exclusively and sheathed with a cloth/epoxy laminate. The fin is welded steel with 4200# of internal lead ballast, and the rudder is skeg hung. |
