This old lady is an Albin Vega 27, built in 1971. I sailed her across the Atlantic in May 2018 und she is sailed and lived on in the caribbean eversince. She comes with a Plastimo inflatable dinghy with a 2.5 hp mariner outboard. She does not have her inboard anymore but has place for 2 folding bikes and a sufficient outboard, 8 hp Tohatsu, instead. She is held in place by 40 m, 10 mm, anchor chain and a 5 kg bruce anchor. She looks alright for her age and sails extremely well. Of course there is always room for improvements. I need to head home because my mum wants me back around, that's why i give her in adventurous hands, to someone who appreciates an old but seaworthy lady. |
Equipment: |
She is equipped with 3 solar panels of around 100 watts each, a 230 AH 12 Volt battery and a 300 watts inverter for 220 Volts. Other electronics on board are a depth sounder, a chart plotter, a VHF with AIS receiver. The Nav lights and interior lights are LED. There is a 2 flame gas stove and a sink with foot pedals (fresh and salt water). A toilet is available and a second sink in the forward cabin, alongside a huge V-berth. She comes with 2 large and a small jib, a spinnaker, a spare mainsail, a draganchor and a sunshade. Also the package includes a 1000 Watts generator and some jerry cans. The cushions are in good condition. Ah i almost forgot that she also cools drinks in a 12V/220V fridge, and steers herself with a tiller pilot. Also she is well equipped for heavy weather by bringing a stormjib. |
