51' Downeaster Ketch

This is a BLUEWATER cruiser built for offshore travel or can be used as a spacious liveaboard. The current owner has been aboard for over 30 years but has to reluctantly offer her for sale.

Built in Santa Ana, California, her one-piece hull is hand laid-up and double laminated to the top of the boot, with triple laminations on centerline that exceed Lloyd's specifications. The internal ballast is sculpted and faired to conform to the hull shape. The deck-to- hull flange is epoxied and mechanically fastened for added strength. The deck is a lamination of fiberglass and a high density closed-cell material.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Sleeps five in three cabins. Seven using salon table as a queen bed
