Beautiful boat. Was completely restored and upgraded by owner of more than 15 years. Used the boat extensively locally - many trips to Channel Islands. Some of the upgrades include: totally rebuilt atomic 4 QUIET gas engine (converted to fresh water cooling system, magnetic points, oil and water filter, 105 am alternator, all new ss engine instruments mounted on trunk cabin for easy viewing, etc), running lines all moved back to cockpit, roller furling on jib, custom top and side loading fridge complete with automatic light, corian counter tops, DC fridge, 2 battery banks (starter and house), all DC led lights, marine internet antenna (boat also wired for ethernet), 2 monitor/tv's, marina powered antenna (for all digital channels), completely rebuilt head area (working marine toilet, cedar lined drawers and walls, etc), mahogany walls, propane BBQ, powered shower in cockpit, 6' avalon dingy (excellent condition) and 2.5 yamaha outboard engine, custom solid teak side rails and rear hatch rails, custom forward and rear wood hatched, teak spreaders, etc, whole boat was wired for ac outlets and shore power connections installed, custom rear pulpit and stantions. Main cabin table lowers to make a queen sized bed. V-berth also very comfortable and has mounted TV connected to internet and powered marine tv antenna. Nice stereo in main cabin (also connected to marine antenna) with 4 marine mounted speakers. Complete electronics (a bit dated, but work) includes Radar, sonar (forward and side scanning: I used the boat for diving), GPS, all the wind instruments, tiller autopilot nema'd to GPS and radar, etc. 7 barrient winches all just rebuilt. Bottom does need to be painted and jib roller furling needs maintenance (easy). Other than that, this boat is ready to go. Must see this boat. Over 100K was spent restoring this boat for my use. You won't find another Cal 29 like this for sale anywhere given money spent on this. Serious inquiries only. We no longer use the boat so time to pass it along. |
