This is a serious cruiser/racer that can be sailed solo yet is roomy enough to accommodate a family of 5. Few 25 ft sailboats have challenged the Bluewater like this awesome O'Day. From New London, CT we have sailed Fishers Island, the Race and to Long Island. We have sailed across Rhode Island, past Point Judith and Narragansett Bay into Cuttyhunk, MA. We have encountered the typical heavy winds of September on Marthas Vineyard. One October brought us through the Cape Cod Canal and straight into unpredicted 9 foot waves of the Atlantic! This boat sailed us through some great seasons and lasting memories. Good handling and fast with beautifully balanced fixed rudder with a fin keel. Safety features include self-bailing cockpit and entire boat is self-righting.
