Deck to hull connection: mating hull & deck flanges bedded in polyurethane adhesive & fastened with stainless steel thru-bolts
Off-white fiberglass decks (balsa cored; plywood core in hardware mount areas), with moulded-in non-skid pattern
Deep bulwarks with teak caprail (makes for safe passage when going forward on the side decks), hand fitted with butterfly joints
Crealock canoe stern
Modified fin keel, with keel-to-hull joint embedded in epoxy
Ballast is 6,200-pound solid lead casting with 1 S/S keel bolt
Rudder with steel web frame supported by high strength manganese bronze gudgeon & closely coupled to steel-reinforced integral skeg
Prop protected in aperture between skeg and rudder
Primary bulkheads are bonded to hull and deck with fiberglass and then thru-bolted in place
Aft cockpit has deep, contoured coamings with 68″ long seats, two stern seat lockers and a large starboard locker (excellent safety on passage)
Stern lazarette hatch & vented propane locker
Underside of deck, lockers, and entire bilge area are gel-coated to prevent mildew & facilitate cleaning
Edson pedestal wheel steering with S/S wheel
Cetol Natural and Cetol Gloss finished teak exterior trim
Stainless steel chainplates & backing plates are caulked and thru-bolted to the hull
Solid teak rub strake on hull
Interior is structural fiberglass, plywood & gel coat interior module bonded into hull with fiberglass mat & woven roving
All cleats, winches, turning blocks, pulpits & stanchions have backing plates
