For sale is this outstandingly clean and well-equipped 1993 Hunter 28 sailboat. I am only her third owner after a long Lake Erie history with her prior owner. This is NOT a project boat - I spent the past year preparing her for extended Lake Erie cruising with my family. I am selling only because I unexpectedly had the opportunity to purchase my dream boat.

This boat is turn-key ready to sail. The standing rigging (freshly tuned), mast, and boom were all replaced in 2019. The main sail and 110% furling genoa are near-new and both are VERY crispy. The Harken furler was new in 2019. The engine is the venerated Yanmar 2GM20F which is very reliable, easy to service, and economical with plenty of power to move the boat when the wind dies.

There are additional features that make it a fantastic choice for cruising Lake Erie. The cockpit is LARGE and features two perch seats for additional seating (best seats on the boat). The cockpit size is what sold us on this boat. And, the cabin features a spacious private aft cabin plus the V-berth forward - fantastic for overnighting or resting during an extended cruise. Her wing keel is comforting when the water gets thin, and her 7400 lb. displacement helps her stand up in a breeze and stay stable when the waves kick up.

A dock is NOT included with the boat. Transient dockage is available at my marina at $20/night. Oasis Marina has 30' docks available for $1K for the rest of the season. Cleveland-area dockage is available through private listings on Marketplace or Craigslist.
