50' Hout Bay 40 Steel Schooner

Custom built, Adventure is equipped for living aboard, cruising and racing. She comes with a transferable Coastwise license and is entitled to carry up to six paying passengers with a qualified captain on board. Adventure has proven herself to be a vessel that you can depend on whether it is offshore passages, living on board comforts, or races down the bay. With a spacious deck design, and multiple sail combinations, this is a vessel that can handle wind and sea. Adventure recently was outfitted with five new custom built deck hatches and had the rudder post replaced. The cockpit has been completely refurbished, painted, and has new non-skid. She is currently on the hard in Galesville MD for winter storage, but she is soon to be launched. The current owners, Dick and Leigh Woodling, will be sailing Adventure on the Chesapeake Bay for the month of May.
