Hunter 44 Deck Salon, 2 cabins, fully equipped and in very good condition.

The 2007 Hunter 44 Deck Salon (DS) is a Glenn Henderson-designed coastal and offshore cruiser known for its exceptional interior volume, natural light, and ease of handling for short-handed crews. It evolved from the Hunter 426 DS and is distinguished by a raised cabin top and panoramic windows.
Key Design & Performance Features
Hull Design: Features a unique "bow hollow" that creates a longer waterline for increased speed and a "stern reflex" to enhance stability and reduce wake.
B&R Rig: A backstay-less fractional rig that allows for a larger mainsail with a structural arch over the cockpit to keep the mainsheet and traveler out of the way.
Easy Handling: Most models are equipped with in-mast furling for the mainsail and roller furling for the jib, with all lines led aft to the cockpit for single-handed control.
Cockpit: A massive, clear cockpit area includes a walk-through transom, a folding Lewmar wheel for better walkability at anchor, and integrated stern pulpit seats.
The 2007 Hunter 44DS has a total fresh water capacity of 140 US gallons (530 litres).
Reservoir Configuration & Locations
Unlike smaller vessels with a single tank, the Hunter 44DS distributes this volume across three separate reservoirs to balance the boat's weight and optimize storage.
The tanks are located in the following areas:
Forward Tank: Located under the V-berth in the forward guest cabin.
Port Tank: Situated under the floorboards on the port side, often near the water heater and settee area.
Aft Tank: Some configurations place a tank under the master berth or within a cockpit locker.
Additional Tankage Specifications
Fuel Capacity: Standard models carry 51 to 66 gallons of diesel.
Holding Tank: A single 45-gallon tank is standard for waste management.
Water Heater: Includes an 11-gallon tank that operates via engine heat exchange or AC power

Equipment:
Hunter 44 DS * 2007 Ready to sail, located in Green Cove Spring, Florida.
Asking price reduced to $ 130 000.
- 5-foot draft. Lead keel **.
- Furling system with a new mainsail (2025). Genoa still in very good condition. Both sails are protected from damaging UV with Navy Blue Sunbrella fabric.
- Bimini Dodger in Navy Blue Sunbrella fabric in very good condition. All Strataglass (Dodger and sides) were replaced in 2024.
- New white faux leather interior cushions.
- Large custom-made teak-veneered cockpit table with cup holders and storage.
- Most of the faucets have been replaced by good quality ones.
- Most lights (interior/exterior and navigation) have been replaced with LEDs.
- New shelves in the main cabin with a 12V electrical outlet. We used it to plug in a portable freezer/refrigerator and store items we need close at hand in clear plastic containers.
- In replacement of an ice maker that we never used, we built a new very useful cabinet in the galley with a wine rack (that has proven to hold the bottles even in rough conditions).
- Beautiful shiny teak flooring that looks like new.
- Plenty of space under the flooring for the storage and to hold 3 water tanks and a large holding tank. Plenty of space under the seats for the storage.
* All hatches are equipped with roller blinds and mosquito nets. The main portholes are equipped with pleated blinds.
** The lead keel, known for its high density and low center of gravity, contributes to the boat's great stability.

MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
- Yanmar 50 HP diesel engine in excellent condition with less than 2,000 hours.
- Highly efficient Aqua Maax watermaker (23 gallons/hour) with a new high-pressure tube (2024) and a new membrane (2024) that provide water with a very low PPM content, excellent for drinking.
- 3 new 150-watt solar panels (2025)
- 3 new 200 AMP AGM batteries (2025) with a 40 AMP Bluetooth controller
- New Lewmar electric windlass (2024) with a handy water hose next to it.
- 2 electric toilets (fresh water).
A Fisher Panda 8 kw generator is still installed under the captain's seat, but needs repairs that may be only electronic.
Over the last two seasons, we used a new portable Pulsar generator (4.2 kw) and we had more than enough power. No maintenance is required except for a simple oil change every 50 hours.
Included:
- 11.3 ft Carib Marine Hypalon dinghy purchased new in Sint Maarten in 2020, with a 15 HP Yamaha 2-stroke engine (2014) that runs like new.
- 1 Portable generator (4.2 kw)
- 2 fishing rod holders
- Hoist for lifting the Yanmar engine. Note: For short trips, the dinghy and its motor can be easily towed behind the boat. For longer voyages, we prefer to remove the motor using the hoist and place it on the railing. The dinghy can then be towed unloaded or hold onto the deck using the spinnaker halyard. The electric winch makes this process much easier.
- Portable VHF radio
- Many primary filters for the watermaker.
- Spare parts (engines, Fisher Panda generator, etc.)
- Dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, etc.
- Barometer
- Excellent condition spring mattresses and Bedding Fitted sheets for the forward cabin mattress, regular sheets for the main cabin and 2 new mattress covers and comforters.
- Some tools may be included (to be discussed).
