Description:
U.S. Coast Guard Documented Vessel
SV Vindsang is a classic boat that has been meaningfully upgraded.
**Check out most recent equipment improvements at bottom of equipment section!
She is liveaboard ready with a transferable slip at the recently remodeled and commodious Port Aransas Marina, with easy access to St Josephs Island and the many fun anchorages in Aransas Bay and Padre Island. We are on a liveaboard dock and the community and staff here at the Port Aransas Harbor is welcoming and friendly.
With just over 6ft of headroom and a large V-berth, she is the perfect boat for a couple looking to do some Gulf sailing, and even to take down to the Caribbean on a longer journey. This boat could sleep 4 with a generous quarter berth and starboard berth. She has had an engine conversion (formerly this boat was an Atomic 4 gas engine), and now has a 20 HP Beta Marine diesel engine with less than 200 hours. Her other significant upgrades include a new Garmin Nav system and VHF, 2 new water bladders, and a Dometic 12,300 BTU A/C, which is a must on the Texas Coast!
Full list of upgrades and replaced gear below.
Some work remains to be done(as with all boats) but overall she is in good working order and currently is a full-time live aboard.
We will be updating this ad as we continue to work on her and make further upgrades/maintenance etc in the coming weeks.
**Of course, the more work is done the more firm we will be on the price. Due to uprgrades completed in March(see bottom of equipment list) price is now firm at $12,500.**
If you are thinking about a Catalina, Hunter, O'Day etc. then consider stepping up to an Ericson.
She is fully insured and registered with title USCG documentation in hand.
