I built this boat over about 3-4 years. Completed about 8 years ago. It is a Glen-L 14. Plans and information are still available on the Glen-L website. It was built with very high quality materials (too high in hindsight). Hull is 1/4 inch okume marine grade plywood. Frames are African mahogany. Hull is fiberglassed over and the hull paint is a two part Interlux VC performance epoxy over Interlux interprotect primer. Topsides are Interlux Perfection. Mahogany is varnished. The hull is a sailboat hull but was not finished as a sailboat and I used it with a 5hp outboard for fishing. There is no centerboard or centerboard trunk. No sailing hardware, sails, rudder. It could conceivably be finished out as a sailboat with the main obstacle to this being the centerboard. It has been used and isn't perfect but does look nice. Being a sailboat hull it is quite seaworthy but even with a 5hp outboard it will not plane. Trailer is included and is in great shape. New lights, axle, bearings about 4 years ago and has only been in saltwater a few times since. GPS/fishfinder, electric trolling motor, custom cover all included. No outboard included. I don't use it much and would like it to go to someone who will. All reasonable offers considered. |
