Hull, Deck, Rig and Sails Heavily laid up fiberglass deck and hull with longitudinal stringers. No core. This boat was built in the early days of fiberglass, and therefore is very strong. No blisters. Mast is single spreader aluminum, awlgripped, with wire main halyard and dacron spinnaker and jib halyards. Boom is solid spruce. Importantly, she is set up with removable staysail stay and running backstays for offshore sailing. Seacocks are all bronze, ball valve type, serviced in 2021.
Mainsail is fully battened with lazy jacks, with standard jiffy reefing and two reef points. The Genoa is a 130% Bohndell briradial, in excellent condition. Also an asymmetric cruising spinnaker with sock, as well as all storm sails (never used).
Sail cover and dodger in excellent condition, with matching hatch covers.
Engine and Machinery Yanmar 3HF, 1993 (approx). Complete overhaul in 2017. Approx. 150 hours since last overhaul. 1" stainless steel shaft and 16" x 11". Filed three blade bronze prop. New cutlets bearing 1997. Standard transmission, controls and panel, This engine runs superbly, no smoke. Steering is pedestal wheel to cable quadrant.
Tankage and Plumbing Water, 100 gallons in integral tank beneath cabin sole. Fuel, 50 gallons in integral tank beneath engine. Stainless steel hot water tank with AC and engine connections. Par water pump with accumulator tank to galley and head. Hand shower in head.
Bilge Pumps Two electric Rule bilge pumps with float switches. Also two cockpit mounted Edson diaphragm pumps.
Self Steering Autohelm 4000, installed 1997.
Ground Tackle Electric windlass with manual capability, turning chain gypsy. Primary anchor is a CQR with all chain rode on stainless steel bow roller. Spare Danforth with nylon rode.
Electrical System Newmar panel, AC and 12V. 30 amp in line charger. Three deep cycle house bank, and separate engine starting battery. Emergency switch to use house batteries for engine starting if necessary. Batterie maintained regularly, located beneath sole in custom built compartment.
Electronics (incomplete) Autohelm 4000 autopilot. (electronic components updated in 2021 by Silver Cloud marina)
Galley Standard gimbaled Two burner propane stove and oven, with propane in two 20 lb. Tanks in aft lazaretto. LPG solenoid with separate circuit breaker. Double sink, draining overboard. Large icebox with 12V refrigeration system. Compressor runs but needs charging.
Interior Pilot berths changes into shelves, and settees moved outboard. Midline dinette removed and new varnished teak table built which folds up against forward bulkhead. Teak bookshelf built along port side. The result is a more open, spacious feel to the interior. All cushion professionally made in 2020. |
