Details: My Prout 38 is a 1999 sloop rigged Fiberglass catamaran sailboat moored in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is being offered for sale on a as is basis and I am selling because of my age and some medical factors. Im the second owner and its a 3 cabin design but was not a bare boat charter vessel. The Prout is a British built craft constructed for a blue water sailing and offers many amenities and features that only a Cat can provide for sailing and off the grid living.
This tiny home features a step down galley on the starboard side with a gas stove, 2 counters for food prep, double fresh water sink a good size pantry and a number of cupboards for storage. Theres a separate large 55 litre high efficiency electric chest fridge for cold food storage. Aft is the second sleeping cabin with with a queen size bed and its own adjacent head and wet shower. Forward is a smaller cabin with a double bed with ample underneath storage lockers.
The stepping up the main level is also accessible from the outside cockpit via folding door. Theres a 360 degree view around the horseshoe dining table with seating for 6-8 people easily with more storage underneath and with 4 large windows of which 2 open to provide loads of circulation and fresh air. Theres a navigation and computer desk adjacent with a lift up top, plus a potential for 2 more seats; along with the VHF radio/AIS and Navman chart plotter. Also in the salon is an overhead skylight and the primary electrical cabinet and 2 massive storage lockers beside the forward fresh water tank. All the interior lights have been changed to LED.

The starboard side has the main owners cabin with a king size bed connected by a passageway for more storage and accompanying bathroom with an electric head and wet shower. Further forward is a spacious garage to store lubricants, cleaning supplies and larger items such the outboard and inflatable 3m dinghy.
You can find all of the technical specs on the web and Ill list a few updates to this boat. There are 2 Kubota/Beta Marine 30hp diesels with sail drive with about 600 hours on one and 1900 hours on the other (primarily charging engine). All lines lead into the cockpit for easy single handed sailing. A new mainsail was just purchased and has yet to be raised and theres a lazy Jacks system and 120% furling headsail. The hydraulic wheel and helm station has the normal marine gauges and the auto pilot, plus a new Garmin chart plotter to supplement the iPad navigation software. The aft has 2 sugar scoops for easy access to the water and boarding ladder and dinghy and theres a fresh water shower hose. The aft davits can lift the dinghy and engine for storage and travel and the solar panel is mounted on top. Theres no forward trampoline instead theres a full solid deck. An electric power windless is coupled with a delta anchor and has plenty of chain.
