40' Valiant 40

Were selling our 1977 Valiant 40. This is not for just anyone. Still a project, to be sure, but shes been out sailing the last two seasons and is well on her way to being a wonderful blue water cruiser once again! Still requires some interior finishing. Much has been done, still a bit left to do. A lot of good components and (mostly) high quality work has been put into her.

Nanni 50hp (same Kubota engine as Beta 50)

Much of the electrical was gutted/ upgraded to a system designed for a high capacity electric load
Everything designed to handle 12v/120v 3kw charger/ inverter (victron) with fusing/ wiring to match. Currently set up with 4x Trojan T-205 6vx2 in parallel with the other set.
Previously upgraded 12v panel with Paneltronics
New AC panel
Currently set up with 200 watts solar and 2 Victron mppt controllers (designed for an additional 200 watts

Most of the interior lining/ paneling was stripped out and the hull/ overhead was appropriately prepped and painted.
-Rebuilt SL666 (SeaTiger) bullet proof manual windlass installed
-200' or so of 3/8BBB

-New nav lights/ masthead anchor light
-Wind transducer
-Raymarine C-series plotter and radar
-Newer Raymarine Autopilot with bellowd eck ram and edson tiller arm

Sails:
Main, 90% jib, 120%ish genoa, staysl (currently no innerstay), spare main, possibly others. All sails are serviceable, none are young. Wife is a sailmaker and could arrange for replacements

Weve been using the emergency tiller for the last two seasons as I pulled off the wheel/ pedestal to rebuild it. I have replaced the bushings/ bearings and am preparing the pedestal to be reinstalled.
