Description: |
I have decided to post my Tayana 37 for sale. Dacia is a 1977 Tayana 37. I've owned her for 5 years and she's currently located in Rio Dulce, Guatemala. Dacia is a completely engineless boat, read for a new electric or diesel engine to be installed. Or continue sailing englineless like I have been.
She also comes with a 10.5 foot Avon RIB with a 20hp Tohatsu EFI outboard.
The Good: - 880watts of solar - 300ah LiFePO4 Batteries - HydroVane (self steering vane) - fairly new EPIRB - 2yo bottom paint (1 gallon extra ready for touch up) - Newly varnished Bowsprit - 200 feet of 2yo 3/8 BBB chain - 55lb Rocna Vulcan (primary) anchor - 55lb Lewmar Claw (secondary) anchor - 45lb Bruce (stern) anchor - 110lb Mantus (storm) anchor - 145 gallons water storage - fresh/salt water wash down pump - electric head - shower - 2500watt inverter/charger - 2200watt Yamaha Generator - New rudder stuffing box (2yo) - 5 year old standing rigging - new rudder shaft and gudgeons (2yo) - chainplates inspected (all look good) - and more...
The Bad: - NO ENGINE - No fuel tanks - varnish in the interior could use some work - decks are currently sanded down and nearly ready for paint - mast has been removed for deck work - some bulkhead work would be recommended (for extended offshore sailing)
Dacia is a project boat. However, she is in a inexpensive yard that is capable of doing all of the necessary work. I sailed her into Rio Dulce back on June, 4th with plans to do an extensive refit for an engineless circumnavigation. However, my plans have now changed and I have reluctantly decided to put her up for sale. Tayana 37's are an extremely sought after blue water sailboat that can safely take you around the world. But her size, and the amount of upkeep on a boat this size has started to become to much for me as a solo sailor. I will answer any and all questions.
I am open to reasonable offers. |
