Hull: White cedar on oak frames. Originally fastened with bronze ship nails, refastened below the waterline in 2000s with bronze square drives. Sistered frames below the cockpit (2000s)and starboard side above the waterline with laminated oak sisters 2023. External lead ballast bolted through keel 1965. Rudder and shoe replaced 2018. Entire hull recaulked and seam compounded 2000s and following seasons as needed.
Spars: Solid spruce boom (1965), laminated spruce mast, bowsprit, gaff and club foot (2000s)
Standing Rigging: Oversized stainless steel wire, wormed served and leathered where applicable, single strands around the mast hounds to turnbuckles on deck. Bronze chainplates rebedded and fastened in 2000s Galvanized chain bobstays (2025) to turnbuckles
Running Rigging: Three strand dacron from 3/8 to inch depending on application. Peak, throat and staysail halyard replaced 2025, jib halyard and sheets 2006. Lazyjacks 2023. Topping lift and flag halyard 2025.
Sails: All Nat Wilson Oceanus make, serviced and stored by Wilson sail loft annually. Main 2017, Staysail 2018, Jib 2019
Engine: Electric Yacht Quitetorque 20.0 48 volt system rated at 400 amp hours. Runs on eight 6 volt Lifeline AGM batteries, 2 sevcon controllers and dual electric motors with belt drives to the same drive shaft. Charges via 2 Sterling Power chargers wired to shore power outlet. System installed 2018.
Electrical: Two 12 volt Rule 500gph bilge pumps, Jabsco electic head and 12 volt charging station at the panel. AC panel for Sterling power chargers and AC outlets in main salon and forward berth.
Tackle: One 40 pound Danforth anchor with approximately 40 of inch three strand nylon anchor rhode. |
