Hull & Deck While of French design and owing to her popularity in the United States, the Beneteau 393 was the first to be produced at Beneteaus South Carolina plant. Her hull is solid fiberglass with a structural inner grid and fiberglass floor, the result is a stiff boat that is responsive and confident offshore. The deck is a balsa cored fiberglass sandwich construction with non-skid surface. The T-shaped cockpit with walkthrough transom seat is a nice feature and allows for easy access about the cockpit and integrated swim platform.
Her cockpit with teak seats and floor is well protected with a large dodger and bimini with wrap around enclosure and sun shades. All lines are led neatly aft to the cockpit to the well situated spinlock clutches on either side and Lewmar winches. The helm with leather wrapped wheel and sailpod is equipped with cruising electronics and instrumentation, VHF with AIS, Clarion stereo remote, and a Plastimo compass. A folding cockpit table with storage inside is perfect for outdoor entertaining.
Stanchions are solidly backed and keep the crew secure within the double lifelines and sturdy transom railing. Boarding gates are to either side and at the transom. Wide side decks and full length jacklines make going forward while underway much safer. |
