Description: |
MAINE CAT 40 $350,000 US
Well built in 2002 and unique with lots of extras. 3000lbs lighter than the Maine Cat 41 with oversized carbon fiber rotating rig and slipperier hulls. This boat was the prototype for the 41. I am a structural engineer who has lived aboard for 7yrs preparing the boat for my second circumnavigation but health problems arose. All electric winches, plenty of solar, lithium, spares, safety gear, etc. Steering is midships with great visibility and ventilation from a safe and comfy cockpit perfect for single handing. She can sail faster than wind speed and has clocked numerous 200 mile days often sailing when others motor. Affordable performance and ready to go.
