Fleeting Moment is a truly fine example of an e-33, one of the best performance daysailors you could hope to sail. She has been serving her sole owners exceedingly well since her 2011 launch, sailing the waters of the Fox Islands and Penobscot bay as a professionally maintained family daysailer. The e-33, developed by E Sailing Yachts founders Robbie Doyle and designer Jeremy Wurmfeld with a goal of usability, comfort and performance. Their vision was executed in the highest quality by the builders at Lyman-Morse in Thomaston Maine. The result is the perfect Grand Tourer of the yacht world. Incredibly comfortable, stable and safe for guests, she inspires confidence in all who enjoy her. She also is a high performance race boat, a performance level which is incredibly accessible to anyone who takes their turn at the light and balanced helm. Not to mention she is beautiful whether healing under sail, or sitting on the mooring. This boat's design was all about solutions, never a compromise. These thoughtful solutions are clear at every glance. Fast, efficient, and stable begins below the waterline, with a keel design that slopes slightly aft to reduce catching lines, and a large efficient rudder. Above the water, the topsides shine with luster and a beautiful, subtle sheer and cabin trunk line, all complimented with the perfect amount of varnished teak. The cockpit stretches an expansive 16 with ample seating for 6 in the working cockpit and two additional lounging on the cushioned aft deck. The Seldon Spars carbon masts backswept spreaders eliminate the need for a backstay, paired with aluminum boom with internal advantage for macro and micro sheeting, as well as for the one line reefing, provide intuitive and simple sail control. No winches are needed for trim and tacking. All sails are in perfect condition with annual service and cleaning. A Navtec system for controlling the hydraulic headstay tensioner sits in the cockpit and allows for easy and precise mainsail trimming. Sails Broadheaded (square top) Mainsail, with two reefs, full battens, and easy to use, StackPack, when furled. (with Doyle StackPack) Main and Spin halyard route into the cabin with clutches under the coach roof and a fairlead to the winch in the cockpit if needed. The recessed drum on the jib furler is controlled right from the helm, with its furling line leading to clutches at the skippers feet. The Gennaker (new in 2023) on its topdown Seldon GX continuous furler for simple setup and then controlled from the cockpit. Large foredeck hatch allows easy access to sails stored below.
Hull and Deck Fleeting moment is built with foam core and glass construction throughout. She carries white gelcoat all around with a taste accent of blue gray non-skid throughout the deck and echoed in the boot stripe. Her nearly flawless gelcoat luster is perfectly balanced by warm and timeless varnished teak, in just the right amounts. Beautiful touches in the cockpit and companionway dropboards and sliding hatch add elegance to clean lines of her deck and spacious cockpit.
Cockpit Likely the finest cockpit youll ever find on a day sailor! Including expansive seating for 8 in comfort with room for 6 sailors or guests up forward and access to helm and lines with room for at least 2 to lounge on the aft section. The sheets and jib furling line comfortably lead to the cockpit and tiller for easy single handing or easy sailing with guests. Halyards route to clutches under the coach roof with fairlead to the single winch in the cockpit. Beautiful teak features including the beautiful centerpiece of the companionway and large sliding hatch, to the light and perfectly sized varnished tiller, and the varnished grate covering the tiller head. There are lovely custom touches throughout, including a varnished foot rest telescoping up from the centerline. There are light gray cushions accented with dark blue piping. The cushions attach using an integrated rope and flex track system, that allows them to stay secure even if the rail dips in a breeze.
Accomodation She has a V-berth forward with a holding tank and storage below. Moving aft, you will find marine head to starboard with a discrete compartment and privacy curtain. There are pilot berths to port and starboard of the companionway with terrific engine access in the center below the companionway. Cushions are dark blue colored Sunbrella on the 4 berths. There are light gray cushions accented with dark blue piping. The companion way step doubles as Yeti cooler with custom teak treads on top.
