27' Albin Vega

- A famous design by Swedish boat designer Per Brohall, Albin Vegas are easy to handle and equally well suited for local day sailing or long ocean voyages, ideal combination of family cruiser and ocean racer.
- This boat is structurally in excellent condition but it does need some work, including refinishing of interior cabinetry, which has already been removed and is included in sale.
- Aurora has been undergoing a slow restoration and several upgrades while we have actively sailed it on the Hudson over the past several years.
- Due to recent health issues, current owner wishes to find a loving new owner who will complete the restoration and enjoy sailing Aurora for many years to come
- 9.9 HP Mercury Outboard installed in 2014 with remote steering, and remote controls including throttle, gearshift, electric start, and electric tilt. Motor is very reliable and easy to start and operate. New fuel pump installed last year. Portable 6 gallon gas tank included.
- Sale includes a 2008 EZ Loader double axle trailer with custom-fabricated keel support rail and adjustable screw-jack hull supports for this boat. Trailer has current registration and has been used within the local boatyard, but it would need to be fixed up and inspected for before it is taken onto public roads.

Mast and Rigging:
Ian Proctor extruded aluminum mast. Proctor rolling boom includes gearbox and crank to roll mainsail onto boom for reefing
Mast step was professionally reinforced
Stainless steel standing rigging was replaced about ten years ago.
Ground Tackle: Two Danforth 25 # anchors, each with about 20 feet of 3/8 chain and 75 feet of braided nylon rode in very good condition
Galley: Galley includes a new, gimbaled two-burner Origo alcohol stove, two small stainless steel sinks with foot pumps, and an icebox. Handy cabinets above counter hold plates and cutlery, etc, and table can be installed in the cabin or in the cockpit. Freshwater tank holds 15 gallons.
Head: Nearly new Thetford Porta-Potty in forward cabin has convenient removable tanks.
Electric System: 12 Volt electric system includes new two battery set-up including new second battery with new battery switch, battery box, and new wiring connections to motor wiring and boat wiring. Mast electrical harness and navigation and deck lights have been replaced. New lighting switches, new Blue Sea DC distribution panel and new Ancor marine grade wiring and connectors are included with sale but are not yet installed. New Rule 550 Automatic Bilge Pump installed.
