Selling 1979 typhoon weekender "Christine Marie"
A fantastically fun and easy little boat. Simple to single hand and stout enough to confidently handle anything. An old style full keep solid core boat made when they still did fiberglass to last forever.

All standing and running rigging are serviceable. New main sheet traveler in 2024. Mainsail is in good condition. Genoa is getting pretty worn but still usable. Boat also comes with a whisker pole and an almost new 100% jib for the roller furler as well as a spinnaker in perfect condition. The boat is rigged for the spinnaker. Boat has recent bottom paint. Comes with a trailer. No current motor but a 3hp or equivalent electric is all it really needs to reach hull speed. It is nimble enough to easily sail from the dock without a motor if desired.
The boat is currently located at a private club on clarks hill lake near Augusta Ga
Please note, the trailer is mainly meant for pulling the boat in and out for dry storage but can be pulled on the road at reasonable speeds. The trailer lights havent worked for years but I have a set of temporary clip on trailer lights to make it road legal. |
