Description: |
Built in 1974 by Sailcraft in England. Sail #182. Family owned since 1980 and has been stored for past 4 years in Casco Bay, Maine. Length 30 and 13.5 beam. Draft approx. 16 to 18 with drop keels and rudders raised. Easy to beach. Great for anchoring at the head of a harbor out of reach of the big keel boats. In wind conditions of 20 knots, the boat will stay with cruising boats up to 40 and will sail at 8-12 knots. Being a catamaran it sails nearly level. Great for cooking under sail. Used for sailing coast of New England. Can be and has been single handed.
Features: Sleeps up to 6 in 2 double staterooms and 2 V-berths. Bridge deck has settee with great windows and seats long enough to sleep on as well. Starboard galley has sink, room for propane stove and oven, ice box and storage. Port side includes marine head and sink. Bridge deck also includes a navigation area for charts and instrument access. Instruments include VHF radio, depth sounder, knot log (speed), wind speed, apparent wind speed and direction, compass and solar panel. I am not sure of weight displacement. No keel, under 4000 pounds, I think. |
