Windy City has been cruised and loved by a knowledgable and accomplished couple. The Bahamas, Keys and the Gulf Coast have been their cruising grounds. Its time for them to let someone else enjoy the magic that Windy City can provide. This Catalina 320 has a stand out design that combines modern features and construction with Catalina's comfort and value. The 320 is light on the helm and tracks well under sail or power. Racing skippers will enjoy the turn of speed and cruisers will appreciate the additional distance covered in a day's passage. Carrying the deck beam well aft created space for a large cockpit with very comfortable seating. The weather decks are wide with molded-in non-skid and bulwarks, giving easy access to the foredeck and the electric anchor windlass. The interior is finished in a combination of teak, ash and maple hardwoods with textured fiberglass headliner. The salon has seating for at least four people at a table-mounted on a post that converts to a double berth, and for others on a port settee, the end of which doubles as seating for the navigator. The galley has a molded counter top with top loading refrg/freezer, stainless double sink, stove with oven and lots of storage. The nav station is across from the galley with mounted electronics and an opening desk. The forepeak is large enough to sleep two big adults comfortably and has storage bins port and starboard, and two drawers. The master stateroom is amazingly spacious and accessed to starboard at the foot of the companionway. It is furnished with a queen-size berth and has standing headroom. Natural light and ventilation are provided by three cockpit port lights. The engine is located under the companionway and is accessed through a pop-off box under the steps, and through a removable box in the aft stateroom. Everything is easily accessible all around the engine and shaft. |
