Description: |
This boat was designed by Joel White (1930-1997) who was a naval architect (MIT), and designer of some of the most popular boat designs in the Northeast. White founded the Brooklin Boat Yard in Brooklin, Maine in 1960, where he crafted widely-admired boats that were praised for their elegance and simplicity.
This boat was handcrafted by 12 men over a period of 1.5 years at the Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin. The museum builds one of a kind boats every year and raffles them off at county fairs around northeastern Wisconsin to help fund the Museum. |
