12' Snark Sea Skimmer

This is a 2017 Model Snark Sea Skimmer which was purchased new from Myers Boat Company in June of 2020. Sea Skimmers are sloop rigged having a Main and a Jib. The boat has a centerline length of 12 feet and a beam of 3 feet 3 inches. Maximum capacity is 3 persons or 475 pounds. The hull is Snarks ABS Armorclad over foam unsinkable. These armor clad boats do get cracks in the ABS cladding from expansion and contraction but the cladding remains affixed to the foam it does not affect the performance of the boat. The aluminum mast is 12 feet long and I filled it partially with foam for floatation. The jib is raised and lowered by a halyard, while the main is sleeved to fit over the mast. These are fun boats that perform well in calm wind and fly in a stiff breeze. Very fun to sail. This boat has been sailed very little and has been kept in an attached garage.
