Documented ocean-racing prototype from the Mini Transat class a purpose-built solo/doublehanded rocket. Berret Racoupeau design, built by M.A.T. Composites: foam-cored epoxy/carbon-aramid hull, canting keel with 320 kg lead bulb, twin carbon daggerboards, water ballast, articulating carbon bowsprit, twin rudders.
Southern Spars carbon mast and boom (2010) with PBO standing rigging roughly a $60k spar package alone. New 2022 mainsail and jib from Harding Sails (Marion, MA), cut for manageable power shorthanded and lightly used, plus a full race inventory: code zero on Facnor furler, solents, asymmetric spinnakers, masthead runner.
History: raced the 2013 Newport Bermuda 1-2; full refit by Ocean Racers in 2018 (new carbon rudders, NKE electronics, complete topside/bottom/deck paint) in preparation for the 2020 Pacific Cup. Sailed the 2023 and 2024 seasons in Buzzards Bay; hauled and professionally stored every winter at Mattapoisett Boatyard.
Electronics: NKE gyropilot with tiller drives programmed for solo sailing, backup Raymarine pilot, Simrad DSC VHF with AIS splitter, 100W solar. Pilot and AIS installed but need final commissioning reflected in the price. Deck core repair professionally completed 2021 with photos and invoice on file. Winslow 6-person offshore life raft recertified 9/2023. Dual-axle trailer included, sound for yard use, needs brakes for the road.
