17.33' Com-Pac Sun Cat

This 2009 17-foot, Gaff Rigged, Com Pac sailboat is carried on an appropriate, road-worthy trailer. Both boat and trailer are currently registered in my name for ease of ownership transfer. Her size, 1500-pound displacement, and her single axle trailer allow for moving, launching, and retrieving with an SUV or similar tow vehicle. Sailing in a variety of water areas and allowing an owner to keep her in the location of his/her choice are additional advantages to owning this size boat.

The boat is in very good condition and has had its nonskid surfaces recently refreshed using Interlux Grand Banks Beige with the addition of microbubbles. The keel/centerboard hull allows for easy launch and retrieval with the added ability to improve upwind sailing when the CB is lowered. Her beam adds stability on the water yet allows for trailering and storage ashore. Her cabin interior provides protected, lockable storage and includes cushions and a port-a-potty for possibly staying aboard overnight. The hinged mast allows mast raising without use of a gin pole or marina help.

There are no through the hull openings below the waterline plus her hull and deck were constructed without Balsa coring. Those design and construction details limit water intrusion that might create structural problems.
