20' Chebacco Lapstrake Chebacco

Three Rivers is a cat-yawl based on designer Phil Bolgers Chebacco Design, Lapstrake Version. Built in 2007. She is 19 Ft 8.
Three Rivers is set up for single handed sailing and is very easy for a single person to rig, launch and recover. From the time I arrive at the ramp until sailing is less than 25 minutes.
Mainsail, jib and mizzen are all in good shape. There is a nice cover for the main. The jib is on a roller furler.
I have sailed this boat on the NC coast and for shallow water she is great. She draws about 14 inches with the centerboard up and close to 4 feet with it down. She handles wind 15 to 20 knots without any trouble and does well in light winds as well. She is not an open water boat, but people have sailed Chebacco up the east coast as far as Newfoundland.
The cabin is very comfortable. Perfect for one or two people. There is a small area for a porta potty which woks great.
The cockpit is huge with 3 large lockers on each side. Nice cockpit cushions.
Ballast is provided by 4 deep cycle marine batteries. These all seem to take and hold a charge well, but I only ever used them for lights and cell phone charging. Included is a Minn Kota 65 lb.-thrust electric outboard. The batteries are charged by a built-in Pro-Mariner 3-stage marine charger. Shore cord is included. I have never used this motor and am not sure it works. The plug in area on the boat is corroded and I have not tried to fix.
There is also a custom cockpit tent which I have also never used. The picture below that shows this tent is from when Ben Ho (the builder) had the boat and is the only photo that is not current.
She comes on a custom made trailer which I absolutely love. I believe this trailer is part of the reason Three Rivers is so easy for one person to launch and recover. Unfortunately this non-galvanized trailer was rusted in spots. I looked for a while for a new replacement but was not convinced that any of the locally available options would work as well as this custom trailer. So I have had a professional welding shop replace rusted parts piece by piece.
