1979, Ericson 25
LOA 25' 5"
Sail Area 325 sq. ft. (100% foretriangle)
Sails Main (serviceable), 150% & 130% XXXX, storm jib, (all good), spinnaker & pole (fair)
Auxiliary 2003 Honda 9hp 4-stroke on retracting transom bracket
In-board diesel Volvo Penta 2-Cyl - Great condition
Both motors are reliable. The Honda could be sold, and money could be used for improved sails.
Fast, weatherly, safe, comfortable cruising sailboat.
Large cockpit, wide side decks, lines led aft, four deck winches
6' headroom, complete galley, enclosed head, NEW UPHOLSTERY, loads of teak below
Feels like a thirty footer, but moors in a 25 slip
No evidence of blisters. A barrier coat has been applied under the bottom paint. Hull sides, decks and superstructure show low wear and tear for a boat of this age.
This is a nice Ericson 25 fractional rigged sloop.
The sail inventory could be improved and the basic boat is in above average condition.
The electronics and navigation devices aboard are not working properly and should be repaired or upgraded. The Honda outboard main propulsion outboard is reliable in its present condition.
