Description: |
Very well maintained classic cruiser/racer. Sparkman Stephens design. Number one hull, #589, of second series. Only two owners since commissioned in 1975. Smooth running atomic four. Sails are older but serviceable: Harken roller furling system; 150% genoa: made in England 2004; Main sail has been resized; Spinnaker rigged. Cabin and cockpit cushions in good shape. Maintenance and modification records, equipment list and additional photos of boat are available upon request. She comes with many extras. Tartan brochures advertised the 27 as "a complete, substantial small yacht." A recent article appraised The Tartan 27 as a well-built pocket cruiser with an excellent pedigree...Unlike many other small cruisers, the excellent original construction quality and design justify bringing the vessel up to date. |
