Description: |
This Forgus 35 was built in Orust(Sweden) after the same quality principles of Hallberg Rassy and Najad. The boat handles beautifully and is extremely stable in rough seas as well as coastal cruising. All sheets are accessible from the cockpit which is fairly large and comfortably seats six for dining. Living quarters are spacious and comfortable for four but can easily take on six crew/guests with an extra two sea bunks doubling as lounge seating in the salon. This boat is equally suitable for circumnavigation or weekend trips. There is a large Captains cabin in the stern, double V-berth in the bow, full navigation desk, gimballed double burner stove in the L shaped galley as well as tons of storage built in above the lounge and under the berths. Water-repellent and durable woolen cushions can be found throughout. The boat is well equipped and has been significantly upgraded inside and out in recent years. New engine in 2005 and new sails in 2010. These sails recently had a once over and were reinforced by sailmaker in 2014. The boat is considerably rigged for long trips with new batteries, solar cells and all necessary safety equipment plus some. Current owners have sailed her around Svalbard Faroe Islands as well as one Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean 2014/15 with ARC. This boat meets all approved safety requirements for an ARC-crossing. Incredibly well built boat, beautiful with lots of charm! Feel free to email or call any time! |
