50' Carter Equal Masted Staysail Schooner

This Dick Carter classic designed schooner is a unique vessel, one of only four known in the world! Her heavy duty, 5 ton hydraulic swing keel with 3'6" to 10' draft allows for a flexible sailing options including the shallow areas of waters like the Bahamas, Fl west coast, and other shoal draft waters. She has a brand new Yanmar engine and transmission (30 hours) with warranty and recent generator. Justice is a proven performer having been trans-Atlantic, from the Mediterranean to the US to South America, Cuba, the Bahamas and Eastern Canada. Her interior is in good condition with attractive wood paneling and cabinets and very comfortable master stateroom. “JUSTICE” is an Equal-Masted Staysail Schooner with Alga Rig. Her European-style Rig makes her a fast sailer and consists of 2 equal-height masts and 3 furling sails: a working jib and a Genoa, each on its own forestay at the bow and a lose-footed staysail on its own stay reaching from the base of the forward mast to the top of the aft mast. The working jib is self-tending and the staysail can be rigged to be self-tending as well, making short-handed sailing quite feasible.
