Description:
Messenger is a custom one-off design by German Frers, built at Louisiana Marine. A lot of care and money was taken to build her as is shown in every aspect of the boat from the tabbing to the custom aluminum chainplates. Messenger underwent a total refit in Newport, Rhode Island in 2014. During her refit she was modernized but kept light for racing. All structural components were checked by a professional. Components that needed replacement were changed including a full rig inspection. Rigging is Navtec rod rigging. This is not your ordinary yacht. Her interior is open and roomy. Messenger has crossed the Atlantic at high latitudes, sailing to Iceland and on to Europe. She is currently lying in south Brittany, France. Messenger has a unique history, in it's early days it raced out of the NewYorkYachtClub and took many trophies.
