Description:
I have a 1948 John G. Alden US one-design with full cabin. It is a 38' sloop oak frame with mahogany planking. The boat was fiberglassed and beautifully preserved. My grandad recently passed away, this boat was his life. We are looking for a new owner that will love and cherish it as he did. This is a very rare boat with only 30 made. We know of 6 that have been lost from not being maintained properly. There are 2 in a fleet at Marble Head Yacht club in Massachusetts. These are the only ones that we know of. This boat is in perfect sailing condition and only needs a new home. Please if anyone knows of someone who has the means and desire to put her back in the water we would love to be in contact with them.
