Description: |
When the young couple that own Harmony bought her in late 2016 as a live-a-board and world cruiser they were still learning what type of boat they wanted. Now, after half a year of ownership they realized that the boat they really want is an old Amel 40 for their circumnavigation plans. Harmony, a 2003 Dufour 36, is a lovely boat that is very nicely set up for coastal and Caribbean cruising. They are the third owners of this never chartered boat.
The husband is a marine professional who fixed the few things that showed up on the survey and installed a reverse cycle air conditioning.
She is berthed in Annapolis and ready to show now. She has an October 2016 survey available that was done by one of the most respected surveyors in Annapolis. |

ENGINES The MD 2030 is a marine engine of advanced design manufactured from quality components and designed to fulfill customer requirements. This high quality engine is under the companionway in a very well insulated engine locker.
Service Life
The MD2030 is fitted with freshwater cooling as standard. This reduces internal corrosion and enables the engine to maintain a consistent and optimal working temperature under all conditions. To avoid galvanic corrosion the engine is equipped with the unique electrical isolation between engine and transmission.
Comfort
Smooth running with very low vibration levels results from dynamically balanced design incorporating a flywheel of high rotating mass and high efficiency rubber isolation. The engine's high torque provides excellent operating characteristics to aid maneuvering, particularly in confined spaces.
GALLEY The sideboard galley, while not ideal offshore, is preferred for coast sailing or living aboard. The salon bench seat is an ideal leaning post while underway, and the long counter gives the chef plenty of room to prepare food. At the stainless steel deep double sink you have the convenience of hot and cold pressure water as well as a foot pump for when you are conserving water or battery power. A 5 gallon quick hot water heater under the sink ensures hot water is always available. The two burner propane stove with oven is made by Eno, a well respected French company that brings euro style to the galley. There is ample storage for your stores and the Dufour plates and cups.
ACCOMMODATIONS Harmony has the preferred two cabin one head layout which is rarely seen on this often chartered design. |
