41' C&C 41

This is an exquisitely modified, continually upgraded example of a (always fresh water)1986 C&C 41. All three owners have shown a penchant for perfection as you can see. The Race Shed versions of this boat displaced 17500 pounds? However, the later 70 or so were custom built in multiple configurations. Therefore, production models were never as light with all there added amenities. Currently Flyer weighs in at 20000 pounds due in part to a 650 pound keel modification (BULB). Originally this boat drew 8-0. She has been professionally modified to 6-8 to allow her to sail into shallower Great Lakes Harbors. Mars Metals did the bulb add-on calculations for proper righting moment and cast the bulb. It was installed here in the Lakes near Port Huron. Additional care was given to correct a mast step systemic problem at the time of the keel mod, no C&C smile for this girl!
