Sapphire is a high-performance cruising catamaran ready for another "blue- water" sailing adventure.

Outremer, a French company, manufacturers high performance cruising catamarans with retractable daggerboards. This model, the 55 Light, is famous for an impressive combination of performance and comfort as a cruising catamaran.

Equipment:
Sapphire is a 1997 Outremer 55 Light (O55L) which has been extensively updated since leaving the factory in France. Sapphire is approximately 53 feet long and 24 feet wide. The four cabins provide sleeping space for 9 people. Two heads, one in each hull, have electric toilets for ease of use.
Sapphire is powered with two Yanmar 55hp 4JH engines allowing for impressive motoring speeds with an extended range due to a 95 gallon (360 liter) additional diesel tank (total 155 gallons / 577 liters).
Updated solar panels and solar controller provide plentiful power for the Spectra water-maker and to cool Sapphire's huge freezer and refrigerator.
