Price to Sale !!!!!!!
The MacGregor 19 has a water ballast system and centerboard instead of a keel, enabling a good balance between sailing and motoring performance. When motoring, the lightweight hull will plane, allowing relatively high speeds to be attained. When sailing, the centerboard is lowered and the water ballast tank filled, providing good stability.
I had this boat for the past 2 years and it worked great for my needs at the time. If you are looking for a boat that can be stored in a house garage, don't look any more. This boat is consider a PowerSailer it has a Mercury outboard 60HP that will give you enough power to have some fun on the water and if you are sailing and a storm gets in your way you can just close your sails and start that engine and get away in to save harbor.
The sailboat is in good condition for its age, it has some small scratches, but i believe it can be repaired by just buffing the hull. I performed a full engine service including installing a new battery, power cables, and new spark-plugs in 2016. However, i have not use the boat for 6 months and i recommend the new owner to have an annual service done before taking it to the water. (average cost between $300.00 to $800.00 in the higher end) I am selling this boat $1,000.00 below the market value because i know that this services have to be done. At the same time, it is important to mentioned that after 6 month of non use i just started the engine and it ran great. It started after just 2 tries and the cooling system worked great.
This boat was used 90% of the time in fresh water and 10% used at the Indian River Lagoon by Port Canaveral. |
